It’s no surprise that people would turn to alternatives in place of coffee, as people would still want an energy boost to start or continue the day. Thankfully, there are lots of drinks available that contain little to no caffeine to help.
- Tea – Tea leaves from the C. Sinensis plant contain a little amount of caffeine, and when infused in warm water, creates a drink that is less acidic and bitter than coffee.
- Softdrinks – Many soft drinks these days are infused with caffeine, which is mostly why a lot of people feel energized after drinking it.
- Energy Drinks – These drinks are rich in caffeine and similar compounds, and while achieving the same effects as coffee, can also still cause several of the discomforts felt when drinking a cup of coffee.
- Juice – A lot of juices are rich in sugar, which is a good source of energy for the body. They may not produce the same wakefulness effect as coffee, but they can still give a little energy boost at the start of the day.
- Cold Water or Cold Drinks – Certain studies have found that cold water can cause the body to produce a certain amount of heat, which is a sign that it is expending energy. Try a cup of water to see if it helps you wake up in the morning.
Coffee is not a drink that can satisfy everyone.
