The Keurig K55 lets you have your cup of coffee in three different cup sizes with a push or click of a button.

There’s the smaller size 6 oz drink, a medium cup of 8 oz, and a large cup serving of 10 fluid ounces.

For one K-cup pod, the 6 oz size will give you the strongest tasting and rich coffee.

Once you remove the drip tray on its slot, a travel mug with a size below 7 inches will fit perfectly for your homemade coffee-to-go.

Automatic Off Control

The Keurig K55 has an Automatic Off button that automatically lets you program your coffee brewer to be turned off in a couple of hours.

This K55 feature will save you money on your electric bill.

Pods and Ground Coffee

The Keurig K55 can give you perfect cups of coffee with the ease of using a K-cup coffee pod, but you are not limited to this one option.

Any K-Cup compatible pod, regardless of brand, flavors, and even type of beverages, can be used with the Keurig K55.

The Keurig K55 is also compatible with the Keurig My K-Cup Universal Reusable Coffee Filter.

With that option available for you, you won’t have to sacrifice your favorite gourmet coffee beans, as you can choose to grind and brew it in place of a K-Cup pod with an additional purchase of the Keurig coffee maker exclusive coffee filter.

The best thing about this is it’s reusable and durable, so you won’t have to repurchase this investment shortly.

Water Filter

One of the upgrades you could do to have the best tasting coffee possible is using filtered water for your beverage, and the Keurig K55 made sure you have that with the inclusion of a water filter in its water reservoir.

Not only will the inclusion of a water filter give you delicious coffee, but it will also protect your coffee machine in the long run as it protects your coffee maker from limescale buildup.

Built-in Descaling Function

The Keurig K55 is not only easy to use but also easy to clean.

This coffee maker is perfect for the low-maintenance and on-the-go individual since all the cleaning you need to do can be done every other weekend.

Just run the K-Cup holder, the drip tray, and the water reservoir in warm soapy water and wipe them down with a non-abrasive cloth, and you’re good to go.

A fantastic feature of this coffee brewer is also a descaling indicator that lights up whenever you need to descale your coffee machine taking out the guessing game when descaling a coffee maker.

Who is it for?

The Keurig K55 is for people who want a fuss-free and foolproof coffee brewer.

The brewing time of less than a minute is perfect for busy people looking to have a fresh cup of coffee immediately.

The three-button control will also take the complications out of the average coffee maker.

It can also dispense water to make you instant oatmeal, soup, or even tea when you need one.

Potential Drawbacks

A potential drawback to this coffee maker is that it lacks certain features that the current and average Keurig coffee makers have.

Features like Temperature Control or the Strong Brew Setting.

Another major drawback is that the machine has been discontinued and has since been replaced by the Keurig K-Classic.

Finding a brand new K55 coffee maker might be more challenging because of this drawback.

The Keurig K55, an upgrade to the classic K50, has its drawbacks but is outweighed by all the benefits it would give the user.

This single-serve machine is easy to operate, durable, easily multiuse, very versatile, and very affordable.

The Keurig K55 will definitely not disappoint you.

What are the differences between the Keurig K50 and the Keurig K55?

The Keurig K50 and the Keurig K55, at first sight, might look exactly the same.

But they have a lot of differences, especially in their specifications.

First, they have several similarities, and this could be seen in the cup sizes they offer, the capacity of the water tank, both have button controls, both brew in under a minute, and both have removable drip trays.

They differ in the inclusion of a water filter starter kit, an auto-off, and a descaling option in the K55 coffee brewer.

Their differences make the K55 the more coveted and more practical one.

How to operate the Keurig K55?

Operating the K55 is reasonably straightforward and intuitive. Here’s how.

The first step is turning on your coffee maker and placing your mug or cup in the drip tray.

The coffee machine usually takes up to 3 minutes to make the water heat up when the water reservoir is at full capacity.

When 2 of the main buttons are lit up, lift and lower the K-cup pod holder and insert your choice of coffee pods.

Et voila, have your coffee in less than a minute and enjoy!

Is the Keurig K55 worth it?

With all things considered, we can deduce that the Keurig K55 is definitely worth it.

Especially if what you are after in a coffee brewer is the speed and easiness that comes with getting that cup of joe in your mornings.
